10/03/03 Blizzard banning cd keys and APM Live!
There has been some concern recently about APM Live! being a possible reason
to get banned by Blizzard on Bnet because it would be considered like
a hack program or a simple 3rd party program that is not allowed by EULA.
Let me clarify this.

First of all, APM Live! is not a
maphack and does not behave like a map hack in that it doesn't
change the BW code. It's merely reading a few bytes to detect the
beginning and end of a game. For the rest it's all regular windows
hooking of the mouse and keyboard, totally from outside BW. Basically, it's like using Winamp while you play BW! Therefore
there are few chances that they can even detect it, especially if
they didn't issue a patch just for that.
Secondly, let's all pretend EULA was a cute hawaiian babe with
long dark hair and flowers in it. Can you picture her? Yes? Ok,
now start APM Live!, start BW and have fun. |

Oh and by the way, I have been using APM Live! extensively to test it online and guess what, I have also used a bunch of map hacks to test BWSentinel, including in some Bnet games with friends who helped me test it. Did I get ban for it? Not at all.
